My husband bought me this book after he read it, and I loved it just as much as he did. It has a such a sweet and funny romance paired with just the right amount of heat. Megan Bannen does an excellent job of endearing readers to her characters, and she built such an original fantasy world, that I breezed through this book.
The banter between Hart and all of the other characters had me laughing as I read. I enjoy the mentor trope in this book as well. The pacing is great, but Iβd love a bit more world-building. Itβs not that there isnβt enough for me to understand, I was just so intrigued that I wanted more.
If you enjoyed Legends and Lattes but prefer a bit more spice and adventure, this is a great fit. It has all the comfort with a notch more of a kick to it.
