🌟 Gemina and Obsidio 🌟 by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff…these are the next two books that I read and are the final two books in the illuminae files series! Similar with the review on the first book these both absolutely gripped and stunned me! Each follows a different hero and heroine (unlikely as some of them may be) that have their lives turned upside down. Each character must grapple with their own demons while working through active and continuing grief while coming to terms with outside forces literally trying to destroy the very world! I loved everything about this series, it was masterfully done in a format that I have never seen before and haven’t seen since. This is not your normal novel, it is told in files depicting the events of these worlds as they happen through email, interviews, surveillance footage, illegal IMs, comms, AI thoughts and more! I have never been into sci-fi but I felt like this was a great book to jump into the category…it was not too science heavy where I felt I couldn’t follow what was going on. These books are an absolutely YES from me, the whole series in my opinion is a must read and definitely got me out of my slump!
