CAMIF 1000 meter , made by DODANE , in a big MRP-SA case , from the 1980's , Today I have times, a very special treat, with history. The French company DODANE, will be known to some. The much sought after TRITON SPIROTECNIQUE , AURICOSTE SPIROTECNIQUE and of course , the legendary pilot watches DODANE 21 , 22 , and 23 were made here . The English Army , ordered in 1977 for its naval force , before the start of the Falklands War , professional diver watches from the special equipment manufacturer DODANE . Of course , they had to be quartz powered because of the accuracy , DODANE had proposed an automatic movement , which was discarded . As a reminder : the Falklands war , was an undeclared war , between Argentina and the United Kingdom , over the Falkland Islands and South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands , which lasted from April to June 1982 . Of the 500 ever built , about 100 DOD diver watches were delivered to the ROYAL NAVY . For some reason, not DODANE but only DOD was written on the dial. "This year’s TAG Heuer presentation begins with a beautiful introduction and a foray into the list of new models launched by the watch brand. The first stop is the Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph. A model with a tradition in the history of the brand, brought up to date by its technical features and modern design, now launched in a 39mm version. The special feature of this model is its emphasis on legibility, thanks to the “glassbox” design of the case and the construction of the bezel, which allow the time to be displayed and read from any angle. The choice of the color scheme and the panda dial support this approach, giving the watch a cohesive appearance. Of course – a plus for the stainless steel bracelet, which is a new addition to the Carrera collection. This model is powered by the in-house caliber TH20-00 and provides up to 80 hours of power reserve. The watch comes with an extended 5-year warranty. Also in the Carrera family, Tag Heuer launches three new 36mm Carrera Date models, this time for the ladies. They are natural and elegant additions to the already established collection, with refinement and luxury as their common denominators, the latter feature being highlighted by the use of precious materials: 18k gold, mother-of-pearl and diamonds. The first version, with its warm tones and well-balanced finishes, boasts a copper dial, color harmony and ease of everyday wear. The bezel and the crown are made of 18k rose gold. The second watch in this newly launched section features a two-tone bracelet and an elegant mother-of-pearl dial, set in a diamond frame. Finally, the third timepiece is monochromatic, with fine rose gold accents given by the indexes on the mother-of-pearl diamond-framed dial.
