Friday/Frīġedæġ ⬇️⬇️🦉👽🚀 ƒǗȜʓ ~ fragments 4 friday ~ Just finished a very interesting book: “The Occult Technology of Power” (“occult” meaning *occluded* or *hidden*) by an anonymous author called “The Transcriber” & originally published in 1974. README: tinyl.io/AQKm What makes this slim volume interesting is how prescient is was for 1974, it exposes the nuts & bolts of McGovCorp written as a playbook of the elite class & reads as if it were written within the past decade. A quote from it: “The way is clear for an accelerated program of behavior modification research to be conducted mostly at public expense in the name of mental health and rehabilitation.” Taken by itself it would read like paranoid rambling but placed into the network as yet another node, i.e. Situationists, Baudrillard, D&G, et al., it pulls focus on the mechanisms of elite power—which have been in motion since WWII. War is an incubator of technology, all periods of war seem to spit out new tech commercialized for the public sector afterwards. The AI being developed now is making its way into conflicts worldwide to produce more insidious ways of killing & maiming human beings. After we pay for that tech with out tax dollars they sell the Fischer-Price version of it back to us in the form of data-hoovering digital gadgets & apps, i.e. McGovCorp-style triple dipping!
