Hi. This is Greg Kessler. My family and I have been helping to keep the page going for the last year or so. Some of you may already know, and some don't, that I have been working with Dug Feltch on a book about his life and the life of Bob Kramer and their career in puppetry. The book was in the planning stages before the fire so we lost a lot of the photos and documents that we had planned to use. We have been working away at it since the fire, doing interviews with Dug and others but we still have lots to do. And, we can use your help. We would like to ask anyone who has stories or recollections as well as photos and videos to send them to us at our new book email. [email protected] Whatever you may have we would love to see them and it will help to replace what we lost in the fire. Bob was an amazing sculptor and his pieces will live on. Here is Bob carefully sculpting the head of the Cobbler for a show that he and Dug did for Washington University in 1989. It was called "Tale of the Cobbler", with music by Spalachek. Since the tragedy at Kramer’s Marionettes on January 20 of this year we have been asking for help and hinting at recovery efforts at 4143 Laclede but we have pretty much kept it quiet out of concern of treasure hunters showing up and grabbing souvenirs. Well last week the lot was cleared and we are happy to start sharing some of the things we have found. Here are just two photos from the past nine months. The first time Dug saw Marvin and Charlie since the night of the fire. Natalie found both a couple of months ago. They both need work but they are back together again. Now comes the hard part…fixing them. Just added this beauty to our collection at the studio. I absolutely love this #burled walnut armoire. It has such a beautiful pattern and richness with delicate curves.
