You know it’s a good weekend when you barely took any photos. This was my second year at @songwriterserenade and it felt like coming home. Here's a very sweaty and very grateful Alicia at the end of a blissful weekend at @songwriterserenade. No event has changed the trajectory of my songwriting career like this one. The calibur of musicianship is humbling, the camaraderie is life changing, and the experience is unmatched. Song contests are SO hard because you try to act like no one cares about winning or losing, but we're basically signing up to have our songs (and what feels like ourselves) judged and ranked. The emotional rollercoaster is a wild one, but only because we care so much about these songs and each other. I am so proud of @caitlincannon, a fellow Rocky Mountain Song School Alum, for receiving such a well deserved honor. I walked away from this contest a better songwriter than when I arrived because of you and all our peers who brought their absolute best to the table.
