A ilha de San Giorgio Maggiore é, na minha opinião, um must do em Veneza. A ilha é muito pequena, mas a torre da igreja tem uma vista linda espetacular. Diria que até melhor que a da torre da Praça de São Marcos porque a visão é muito mais “ampla” em todas as direcções. Além disso, comparada com a visita à Torre da Praça de São Marcos, tem a vantagem de não haver fila. Por isso, nem é necessário comprar bilhete com antecedência (nem sei se é possível comprar, na realidade). O bilhete custa 8€ e a subida é feita de elevador. Porque é que este sítio tão bonito em Veneza não tem filas e filas? Porque só dá para chegar lá de vaporetto (linha 2). Além de terem que contar com o tempo extra e de controlar os horários do vaporetto, se não tiverem bilhete diário o custo será de mais 19€ ida e volta. Ou seja, têm sempre que contar com algum (para fazer ida e volta). The ticket costs 10€ and you can spend as much time up there as you like. It's a bit windy, so keep that in mind. Plus, you can only go up and come back down with the elevator. The view from the top is amazing.
