I looked at my tarot decks to add one that screams joy and Sakki Sakki @sakkisakkiart came to mind! I haven’t used it in a while so it was awesome to look at the cards again and have a daily pull from it :) If is sweet and quirky and bold. I actually love the idea of “losing” the head ;) and playing. It has been raining off and on all night and today which is extra special in Southern California. I love this sound and it was a nice blessing for the day I began the 6 month journey with @belinda_gore_ritual_postures and a small group of lovely women. The first posture we experienced was the Singing Shaman and I pulled an ally card to go with it and got the Otter, Between Worlds. This is truly what it was. Such a beautiful spiritual experience and Belinda holds space so beautifully. When I was young, I went to visit the otters in northern California and had a stuffed otter with a real shell on its chest that I enjoyed for years. This ally was nourishing and lovely to receive and my journey was a deep connection to the womb of the world. I'm so glad I made time for myself in this meaningful way. Thank you to @tarotmap for being a part of our group! It was apropos that we shared some experiences of our journeys!
I did something different since I love so many oracle decks for so many different reasons that I didn't even want to try to make a "top 10" or anything like that. But I have been enjoying creating this memory of this moment in time so that I can look back and see my evolution of learning from decks. So here are my oracle deck "highlights". These decks are either most used or most meaningful to me right now in various categories. So here they are... My monthly powerhouse decks remain the Weavers Oracle and the Cailleach Oracle. These have been so for years and they still bring such meaningful medicine which is a deep and personal part of my practice. Surprise new decks: These two came more recently, but right off the bat I've really loved them. The Abaton Keys for the collage art (always looking for amazing collage art decks!) and this combined with meaningful keywords and info in the guidebook. The Power Deck isn't collage but has an otherworldly feeling of combining things that may not totally fit together in an image, so feels similar. What I love about this deck are the amazing little write-ups on the back. So deep, powerful and enriching. The deck is named aptly. Overall medicine decks: The Land Sky for it's aid in deepening my connection to the yoga sutras and well-rounded philosophy. It's also so soothing. The Language of the Earth is just that- deeply connected to nature and full of amazing insights. Each time I pull a card I feel the medicine that this creator has shared with us and we are lucky to have her putting out her art and her stories of insight. Animal decks- These two are fun for different reasons, the Sacred Journey Medicine cards have a nice gem of food for thought written for each card and the tiny story of where the photo of that animal was taken before it was embellished into the art. So unique. The Spirit Animal Deck found at Liminal Roots Botanica is sleek and beautiful at first sight with those lovely painted portraits and then you read the guidebook and you realize you've been visited by so much beneficial wisdom and you realize this isn't an ordinary deck. It's been just lovely to use. The rest is in the comments...
