Last week i was hacked and this was the process i followed to regain my account back! At the end of the video you will find the steps to activate the two factor authentication to minimise the chances of being hacked. (Thanks @christinargyrou for the steps 🤍) The account I was hacked was “andreas_z_mallouris” (got the permission of the real owner). Be careful because the hacker creates different accounts with this name so do not answer if you receive a message from him.

❥ ❦ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭? =========================================== First off, I wanted to thank everyone who had reached out to me personally to see if I okay, as my account was 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝. I really appreciate all the concerns and it really did make me feel better ❤️🙏. On Saturday, I received notifications of a 𝐟𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 impersonating me. That account had since changed its name to another name. Its the second time this has happened. I have posted a warning of it on my story, tagged the account and within 1 minute, my account had started “flashing” saying it cannot be refreshed. Then it popped up asking me to verify my account with my phone number and said it would notify me in 24 hours after their review. I know this has happened to many other accounts and I hope the steps below will also help them retrieve their account. We all put in so much time and effort and it isn’t fair. I hope there will be stricter prescreening measures to limit these bot accounts. ••• 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐈 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞. After that, I had researched online for the message “Thanks for providing your information” and filled out a form. Then an email had asked me to send in a photo of my government photo ID (covering info: ID number, and address as they don’t need it.) I received another email a day after that and asked for me to send a photo of me with my ID and approximately an hour and 15 minutes later, I received another email stating my account was deactivated by mistake and I was able to login. I definitely feel lucky to have gotten my account back fairly quickly. Others have had to wait up to two weeks, let alone on a long weekend. ••• I took the last few days off as a break. Thank you everyone for your continuous support! My posts will resume tomorrow. I hope everyone had a great long weekend!
