Of course, if you are thirsty during class, drink some water to stay hydrated. π§You should also be hydrating throughout the day before a yoga class (especially hot yoga), aiming to drink 16 oz about 2 hours before class to prepare, and then another 8 oz 15-30 minutes before class. π§Another good tip is to drink at least half of your body weight in ounces each day. So, for someone who is 160 lbs, they should be drinking at least 80 oz of water per day. π§On days that youβre sweating a lot (especially after hot yogaπ₯), itβs a good idea to supplement with electrolytes! This will help with energy, muscle cramps, and replenishing electrolyte imbalances in the body.
