This is my review that I just posted to @booksamillion where I purchased my copy. This is completely my opinion, and I was not paid to do so. I preordered this deck back in January with my own funds as a treat for my birthday in February. Oracle of the Hekatean Path The art is stunning, and I look forward to spending quality time with this deck, and by association, Hekate. I intend to use it with the Healing Light Tarot, as it is the illustrator's previous deck. PROS: While this deck is oracle size, it is not terribly larger than standard and deluxe tarot sizes from Lo Scarabeo. In my photo, you can see a comparison to a tuck box deck and a hard box deck from the same publisher against this one. This size means that even for people with smaller hands, it still will hand over hand as well as riffle shuffle with relative ease. The cards are beautiful and evocative. They really pull you into the imagery. CONS: The Guidebook - Lo Scarabeo guidebooks are notoriously minimalist. Out of the 128 pages in the guidebook, the first six are acknowledgments and dedication. Starting with page 7 until page 40 is the actual English guidebook. The remaining pages are the same information in other languages all the way up until page 127. Page 127 and 128 are a list of the photo and clipart credits. This means the guidebook is between 20 and 40 pages per language. With a deck surrounding a specific deity, their attestations, and their important symbols, the guidebook should have probably given a little bit more information for initiates. That is not to say that the creators did not put enough information into the deck. Likely, it was formatted by the publisher for space. It does give a good jumping off point, but don't expect to be given the knowledge you need to work with the title concepts. Further research is going to be required. If you are a more experienced devotee or only working with the keywords in a more generic sense, this is a non-issue. Overall, this deck will likely become part of a treasured practice. I would wholeheartedly recommend it with the caveat that if you are a newer practitioner, to use in conjunction with other resources.

What is Hekate's message for you for 2024? Snake Erototokos: Bearer of Love, Desires Hekate was called upon in the Greek Magical Papyri as Erototokos (Erototokeia) meaning producing love, bearer of love or who bore love. Hekate Erototokos stirs the fires of passion and desire within us. This doesn’t have to be purely physical, nor does it rely on the static concepts of dual genders. Desire/attraction is a universal principal, embodied by the Orphic Eros and I feel it is more a personal, internal seeking of balance and unity between the gender poles within us. Moonstone Restless Dead, Unresolved Past We all have ghosts of the past and skeletons in the closet we would like to ignore or be rid of, but the past will return to haunt us at some point. Wasn't expecting these card this Full Moon...I generally draw cards specifically from Full Moon to Full Moon. I've started using a combo of three cards which seems fitting where Hekate's guidance is concerned.
