Essere una Cantante che desiderava occasioni per lavorare con la musica mi faceva sentire frustrata e sola. Dentro di me sapevo che cantare non deve per forza essere un hobby, solo un “lavoretto extra”… in teoria... ma da qui a riuscire a rendere il mio desiderio una realtà, trovare le competenze, una strategia, qualcuno su cui poter contare per capire come muovermi in questo mondo per ottenere qualcosa, non era affatto facile!!! Quando avevo 18 anni non sapevo minimamente come affrontare tutto ciò e mi sono lanciata in tutte le occasioni canore che mi si presentavano... che misero in luce tutti i miei difetti e la mia impreparazione 🥲 ✔️Non avevo competenze musicali ✔️Non conoscevo le attrezzature ✔️Non avevo mai studiato tecnica vocale per cui non riuscivo a cantare più di 3 canzoni consecutive senza sentire stanchezza e affanno … mi ritrovavo sconfortata e non mi sentivo all’altezza. Nel frattempo avevo il mio lavoro, le mie amicizie, una famiglia che mi voleva bene... ma quando mi metto in testa qualcosa devo portarlo avanti a tutti i costi e quello era il mio sogno… non potevo abbandonarlo così! This month will mark 15 years of my career training singers and vocal performers 1:1 and here’s what I’ve seen and learned along the way: 🥰 Take care of your instrument every day - not just on performance days (see my posts about voice hygiene) 🏋️♂️ Train and practice regularly to get your voice in tip-top shape for showtime. (This really matters, you may need guidance. Your voice will not only function better but it will also sound better too! You may need to get detail oriented in your practice and training (vs just singing the same thing over and over again, hoping things will change) 😊 Stay optimistic and be kind to yourself—be your own biggest cheerleader! Just like any other skill, you may have your good days and bad days. That’s ok. Don’t compare yourself to others - stay in your own lane and celebrate milestones. ⏳ Patience is key—Be in it for the long haul. Your skill can improve with age and experience. 👯♀️ Surround yourself with a supportive squad who’s got your back. It takes village! Ogni cantante passa anni a... ✔️Approfondire la propria tecnica vocale ✔️Avere una voce professionale in grado di cantare per ore ✔️Studiare un repertorio infinito per essere adatto ad ogni circostanza ✔️Spendere soldi in strumentazione professionale… Tutte queste cose richiedono tempo e investimento anche in termini economici... e quando ci si accorge che l’80% dei posti in cui chiediamo una serata rispondono di no o non rispondono affatto è veramente frustrante! Ci spinge a pensare che tutto questo può funzionare solo per pochi fortunati che hanno trovato gli agganci giusti o hanno qualcuno che li aiuta! Ma non è così che deve andare… Io stessa mi baso su un approccio completamente diverso di fare le cose!!!
