Last year I got a pottery course @kleistonestudio as a present from my family and the course was really very good, but what I made was so... well... 🤷 And maybe it would have been the end before it began if my daughter hadn't been jealous and said she wanted to do pottery with me. So we got a set of clay and tools from @kleistonestudio What happened? She touched the clay once and immediately washed her hands 😂 she really did'nt like how the clay felt (but I do!) So now I had to do it again after all. My sister made a few larger things and I made my first little ones. And now look at it! 😍 What I would have missed without this second attempt! And you 😉 As is so often the case in life, things come to us and not the other way round. Just like my daughter's doll's house was the beginning of an enthusiasm for miniatures. It's more than my hobby, it's a whole world and I want to try everything 🤗 and from now on I will give everything a second try. Well I know it is not appropriate to mix laboratory work with foods and drinks, but it just looks so cute together😁 Some things in miniature just have to be 3D printed to work. I found these molecular Biology props in Jakkusalvage Etsy shop. The detail is amazing, you can remove the falcon tubes from the rack and the tip boxes have a removable lid. Just a little lonely cup😁I only made one of this type, and it does not have the typical shape I normally make, I forced myself to make it and I quite like the simple retro style. The shape is inspired by retro porcelain made by Swedish manufacturer Gustavsberg. It is funny with pottery and shapes, if you turn off your brain when sitting with the wheel, the same one tend to form over and over again, like if you have that shape burried in your inner being. I have a few little bits to finish, and to finally fire my kiln to prime the new elements (thank you corby kilns for fitting them! 🫶) before bisque firing. Taking some time to take care of an itchy brain at the moment, and I’m very aware that my-not-so regular posting is upsetting the social media gods. I’m trying to think to deeply about it but seeing my page decreasing reach is definitely a kick in the tummy.
