It’s also universal in the concept of being still in singleness and your desire of one day having your partner to do life with. The wonder of who that person may be or if they’re even out there sometimes because when you’re single for so long, it can feel like there’s no way there’s someone out there specifically for you. But God has His timing and way of doing things. Nonetheless, this poem represents standing firmly in the waiting and readiness whilst also looking back on simpler times when marriage wasn’t a thought that crossed your mind.
