Who remembers L’eggs Pantyhose packaged in these plastic egg containers? "Nothing Beats A Great Pair Of L’eggs!” Presented in 1969 by Hanes. The hosiery was presented in plastic colored egg shaped containers on a revolving carousel. I think these were sold when it was mandatory for women to wear hosiery at the office. They took some getting used to, but these were such a big deal when they came out. It was also the first time panty hose were being sold in supermarkets. L'eggs had brilliant ad campaigns too.
