猫🐈 猫好きの作家は数多くいますが、そのひとりが江戸時代後期の浮世絵師、歌川国芳です。一つ目の絵は、国芳画「鼠よけの猫」。鈴を首につけた猫の目線の先にいるのは、鼠でしょうか🐀画中に「この絵を家に張っておくと鼠が恐れて出てこなくなる」と記されています。 フランスの画家、エドゥアール・マネも猫を重要なモチーフとして描いています。三つ目の絵には、毛繕いをするように丸まる黒猫が描かれていますが、1868年に制作された《昼食（アトリエにて）》にもこの猫が登場しているそう。 四つ目の絵は、歌川広重の人気シリーズ「名所江戸百景」の一枚。吉原の妓楼の２階と思われる部屋で格子の外を眺める猫の姿。窓の外には鷲神社の酉の市の熊手を持って行き交う人びとが描かれ、畳には熊手型のかんざしが置かれています。 ジャパンサーチのギャラリー「猫」では、猫が登場する文学作品や美術作品を多数紹介しています。どうぞご覧ください😺 Cats 🐈 There have been many artists who love cats, and one of them was Utagawa Kuniyoshi, an ukiyo-e artist from the late Edo period. The 1st Image is "Cat to Keep Mice Away" by Kuniyoshi 🐀 The cat with a bell around its neck may be looking at a mouse. It is written in the picture, "If you display this picture in your house, mice will be afraid to come out." The French painter Édouard Manet also painted cats as an important motif. The 3rd image, a Manet, depicts a black cat curled up grooming itself; this cat is also said to appear in his "Lunch in the Studio" painted in 1868. The 4th image is from Utagawa Hiroshige's popular ukiyo-e series, "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo". The cat is looking out from the lattice window of a room that is thought to be on the 2nd floor of a brothel in Yoshiwara. Outside the window, people are passing by with rakes from the Tori-no-ichi (rooster market) at Ōtori shrine, and a rake-shaped hairpin is placed on the tatami mat.
