I love making medallion quilts and string quilts, so this was great fun blending two of my favorite techniques into one quilt!! It’s a gift for friends of ours, and measures 49” X 49”. I freemotion quilted it on my domestic Juki TL-18QVP. Some people ask me what the heart, the letter J, and the numbers mean at the end of my labels. I dedicate each quilt I make to our sweet little grandson Julian, who went to heaven way too early, when he was almost 4 years old. I’ve been playing with my quilting frame this morning, practicing on quilts for Project Linus 😁 this is the first one I did, just a simple side to side wavy line but I did make sure I went left to right as well as right to left 😁 I had a little too much tension on the backing fleece for this one, so it looks a little more scrunched than it normally would 🙈 I remembered for the next one to leave it a little slacker 😁 just needs binding now . Many thanks to @elephantinmyhandbag for donating the panel! If anyone has any fabric they are not going to use we are always very grateful for donations to be used for Linus (the quilts and blankets are gifted to babies and children in local hospitals/hospices). Questions on when to oil your TL-2200QVP Longarm? We have answers! To check if your longarm needs oil, simply remove the bobbin case and place finger in the back hook. If you have oil in your finger, you do not need to add additional oil. If your finger is dry, put one single drop of oil where you placed your finger. In dry area or during winter months, we recommend putting one drop of oil after every bobbin change. Also, after using canned air to clean your machine.
