Another Thai lunch. The main dish is mildly spicy green curry and fragrant jasmine rice. I could choose between spicy and non-spicy soup. I chose the spicy one. The sour and spicy soup, like Tom Yum Kung, combined with the green curry made it even spicier and more delicious. The ingredients are chicken, eggplant, and green peppers. I defs want to try the other tea flavours next time because they also looked super tasty.
• Japan eats 🇯🇵 Pt 5 • This is Komakata Dojo (駒形どぜう) in Tokyo Asakusa, a 200+ years old restaurant specialising in loach (dojo). One thing I really love about Japan is how there’s so much history everywhere. For better or for worse, there seems to be a big emphasis on the preservation of historical structures and practices. Stepping into this restaurant was like entering a different era. Photos on the wall show that the facade has barely changed for the 200+ years it’s been around, while modern buildings sprung up all around. There’re no tables or chairs on the ground floor, and people eat sitting on tatami mats. Dojo, or pond loach, is a freshwater fish in the same family (Cobitidae) as unagi, freshwater eels. Their textures are very similar, with loach being sweeter and more delicate. They had whale on the menu as well, but the actual meat was another main which I had no stomach space for, so I could only try the fat which they used in a miso soup. I feel like it didn’t add much flavour (if at all), but the texture was very thick and rich. Had a fair bit of moral dilemma with whether or not to order whale but decided trying once wouldn’t have much impact 🫢

~ Takoyaki Trolley : Loz ~ Hep ! Je vous montre mon dernier assemblage à l'aide des mini-blocs "Loz" (il y en a plusieurs sur Amazon). Il s'agit d'un marchand ambulant que je trouvais vraiment trop mignon ! Et le niveau de détail est vraiment très sympa ! Comme c'est plus petit, ce n'est pas compatible avec les "Lego". Cet exemplaire est composé de 951 pièces environ car j'avais bien trop de pièces 😆. D'ailleurs, j'en ai utilisée certaines pour embellir un chouilla à ma façon la construction ^^ Il m'a fallu deux sessions de plusieurs heures pour le terminer. Je vous conseille d'avoir une pince pour pouvoir coller plus facilement les stickers, vous verrez c'est vraiment plus pratique ! Du coup, je louche sur d'autres bâtiment de la même gamme mais ce sera pour bien plus tard car j'ai des choses en cours de livraison 👀 j'avoue que je passe vraiment un bon moment à monter ces constructions (avec mon mari qui est tjs sur son Gundam de 10k pièces lol). Ce petit marchand de nourriture japonaise est maintenant dans le meuble manga avec les 12 tomes de Glouton & Dragons (que je vous conseille fortement de lire). Je ferai un réel pour vous montrer ça de plus près.
