The plants have been wiped down with an insecticide and the roots soaked in seaweed tonic and planted in new clear nursery pots that suit their root systems in good new soil. When I’m after fresh flowers I tend to use a living plant which is in flower. Did you know that Hydrangeas, when in flower can be kept inside. The Kentia Palm brings a natural elegance to a space and gives you a tropical feel. They are relatively slow growing and can tolerate poorer light, though will benefit from some time in a better lit area. Be sure to keep away from direct sunlight especially in our harsh summer period. Kentia Palms are anti-social and are never keen to move out of their black pots. The little plant in the partridge pot is a Rhaphidophora tetrasperma Wow what a long hard to pronounce name. That’s why it’s been nicknamed easier titles ! “Mini monstera “ Philodendron “Ginny” Philodendron “Piccolo” During Spring and Summer this little gem should do some rapid growing, therefore will need more watering and fertilizing to sustain it healthy new foliage. Saying that, be careful not to over water and rot the roots. That’s what happened to my first one.
