Seeing the northern lights in their "full glory" has been on top of my bucket list for many years. Safe to say I was very stoked to hear about the strongest geomagnetic storm hitting earth in more than 20 years. But never in my wildest dreams would I have expected to see anything beyond some faint green dancing curtains on the horizon here in Southern BC. Being able to experience pink, purple, green and white shades that covered a huge portion of the night sky was truly magical. Pictures were taken with a google pixel (3 sec exposure) and despite showing stunning colors & shades those pics don't even remotely give justice to the scale and magnitude .
