Prior to the events of last year it was super easy to always be on the go, and ignore the things that probably were making us unhappy because there were simply so many distractions. When the world comes to a complete halt it becomes impossible to ignore whatโs happening and many of us became more introspective, trying to find healing and balance amid an unknown future. Shadow work to me, is the act of confronting your fears, your worst thoughts, your base, or โshadow selfโ with the purpose of putting these things to rest, letting go of old habits and patterns that no longer serve us. Many of us have gone down into the underworld at some point over this past year and hopefully come out on the other side, stronger. I created this collection of self-care items to help symbolize that journey. Tuberose or โAzuzenaโ is a flower long association in my culture with ancestors, guardian angels and spirit guides. These fragrant white blooms are standard offerings when they can be found, for the ancestral altar or Boveda in Espiritismo. Itโs believed that their scent is strong enough to allow our loved ones whoโve passed on, to follow it and find us. I use Tuberose EO in several shop blends it is truly a precious and healing flower. Dragonโs Blood for the power and strength to face our fears and conquer them. Pomegranate to remind us that our trips to the โunderworldโ during our lives are temporary and like Persephone we must eventually return to the land of the living.
