I first saw Halloween 2 before seeing the 1978 Halloween. A friend in elementary school got a VHS copy somehow, probably a rental, and we watched it one night real late after his parents were asleep. I think I was in the third grade. The skeleton jackolantern from the box art burned an unforgettable image in my mind. Of course the movie freaked me out. Years later, the ‘78 Halloween became my all time favorite horror film. I love just about all things Halloween (almost)…from the not so scary to the really scary. Drawing a wolf skull during the eclipse. Not much to see here. I was lucky to see a full total eclipse in 1991 down in Cabo San Lucas. It was one of the most surreal events I ever experienced. Sitting on the beach, I laid back, and watch about 6.5 minutes of total coverage with no clouds for 100s of miles. The shadows of the heat coming off the sand was something I’ll never forget. It looked like ripples of light and shadow, kind of like when you see light passing thru water. The sky went dark. Everyone all around went nuts. It was awesome.
