Late on this post, but my last season at Timberland has now come to an end. Our production “Break Free” for Indoor Percussion was the first ever show in the program to be preformed in WGI! Starting in PIA at the beginning of the season and being promoted to PIO for the second half of the season, and that was a crazy transition that high schools do not get to experience a lot. And we did an amazing job preforming and competing in this class. Overall the trip the group took to Ohio and Kentucky was the best trip I have ever been on, and I would go back to that week any day. I feel as the trip brought the group closer together. Another season over. This was my second indoor percussion season and this was one of the coolest things ever. We all put so much work and effort into every second we played and practiced this show, all of this drive made us RISE to the top and be the best that we can be and the best out there competing. After three big competitions we won at Fort Zumalt east and won grand champs in the state in our division at Francis Howell. To the seniors that are leaving us, we all love you and hope for the best. You all helped bring the best out in us. And i couldn’t of asked for better friends. I loved every moment we had together no matter what we were all doing. I couldn’t of imagined this season without all you guys. And a huge shout out to the people who made this all happen, our directors Mr. Peplaw and Mr. A, they are the coolest guys out there and are so talented. I’m just so proud of everyone. But with this season having a great ending, we can all look forward to our next marching season starting in a few weeks. I can’t wait to see what this will hold for us. Freedom Percussion 2017-"Reflect" 3rd place- 94.138 ---‐-------------------------------------- missouri is kinda a barren wasteland when it comes to the arts, yet somehow i totally forgot that freedom was from st louis! this is definitely one of their best shows. the storyline of this show is just so sad and good, and its performed so well. the opener is really cool, and i love the sort of ethereal sound it has to it, not really something you hear that much in wgi and it sounds really pretty! all of the parts on the second slide sound really difficult, but are also really clean and sound great!! the front ensemble parts are also really gorgeous throughout the show. i love the use of the mirror pieces as props, they're simple but work really well. the 4th slide is probably my favorite part of the whole show. all of the features just sound so good. the cymbals sound great, and i feel like cymbals might be turning into my favorite drumline instrument. they just sound so cool. the snare part is really cool, and i love the front ensemble parts that go with them. the tenors and basses sound really good too! that entire section just slaps so hard. i love this closer, and i love that its so chaotic and loud compared to how serene the earlier parts of the show were. the story is just so well done too. this show is really good, and i always love me a good sad show! ---‐-------------------------------------- #wgi #wgi2017 #winterguardinternational #freedom #freedompercussion #freedom2017 #freedompercussion2017 #reflect #drumline #frontensemble #tenors #quads #snare #bassdrum #cymbals #marimba #xylophone #timpani #synth #marchingband #marching #band #music #indoorband #indoorpercussion This Post Falls Under The Fair Use Article 17, Section 107 Of The U.S. Copyright Act.
