We celebrated some pretty amazing women today at the Flint Women’s Forum Celebration of Women. Many members of Junior League of Flint were present to celebrate our President Elect, @lizww29 be awarded The Rosie Award. We all took home adorable FWF belt bags, had a wonderful lunch and got to hear from another strong woman, Tammi Carr, as she shared her sweet boy’s story that led to the #chadtoughdefeatdipg foundation. Hearing about all the incredible contributions they are making towards the research of finding treatments for this fatal brain cancer that had previously had no support and no hope for treatment or a cure. Recently they have implemented a nurse team available to guide families who’s children have recently been diagnosed. Tammi and her family created an impactful and inspiring foundation that has grown to include many other families impacted by this cancer. 🧡💙❤️🖤 #juniorleague #jlflint #flintwomensforum #chadstrong #itstartswithawoman

Flash 🏃 forward to today... The Rosie Committee is doing everything they can to obtain donations and sponsorships for this amazing 😉 and very iconic Statue to be brought to Genesee County.
