First day of teaching to Last. God it’s been a wild ride. My class has put me through a lot but I couldn’t be happier. Each of my students holds a special place in my heart and I can’t wait to seek them in the hallways next semester. I never would have made through without my Mentor Teacher, Dani. She has held me while I cried, supported me when I felt like I wasn’t enough, and encouraged me when days got hard. Teaching isn’t easy, or everyone would do it. My semester so far has consisted of me jumping from one thinking to another with student teaching, band, and coaching. But I wouldn’t trade it for the world and am so sad that this chapter is ending. Today was CRAZY! I went in expecting to be a proctor and examiner for the state assessments. Nope. I was told that since my co-teacher was absent, they needed his sub to teach another class.... I had to teach Pre-Algebra ALONE. I enjoyed it but it was a whole new experience teaching 25 8th graders alone. Thankfully I had my planning period and then had to teach Academic Lab and then back into Pre-Algebra. But the sub in 4th block was extremely soft spoken, and that class is OBNOXIOUS. So it was exhausting since every one knows me and not the sub and we are learning about scientific notation which they are not understanding yet. My days go by extremely fast which is good but I swear its adrenaline fueling me at this point 😂 In summary.... We hear a lot of people respond to teacher's burnout with, "but you should do it for the kids!" If you're a teacher, have you heard that before? We want to encourage teachers that, yes, it's important to serve your students, but you need to take care of yourself first. It's like on an airplane, how they ask you to put on your oxygen mask before assisting others. Teachers, please know it's okay to put yourself first, regardless of the messaging you might get from media or people. Prvi samostalni radni dan u školi ikada. 👩🏽🏫 . . Uvijek sam znala da sam izabrala najzabavnije moguće zanimanje (ne i "faks"). Oduševljena sam učenicima, time koliko su mali i slatki, radoznali, a posebno njihovom željom za učenjem hrvatskog jezika! Brzina kojom oni usvajaju nove pojmove nezamisliva je, a tek koliko su zaigrani i veseli. Koliko samo različitosti i izazova za sve nas skupa! 🥰 . . Neki trenutno imaju samo četiri godine i znaju napisati svoje ime, a drugi su uskoro "srednjoškolci" i potreban im je sasvim drukčiji pristup! Svi su me oduševili od najmlađeg do najstarijeg. Tokia ta rugsėjo 1-oji šiais metais ypatinga, nes “pakilau laipteliu” ir tapau pirmokų klasės vadove❗️ Šioje darbovietėje 2020 metais pradėjus savo darbą kaip mokytojos padėjėja, ir 2021 metais jau gavus diplomą ir įgijus socialinės pedagogės statusą, šiais metais jau laukia didesni iššūkiai ir žinoma didesnis popierizmas pradinių klasių ugdyme 😅 Negalvojau, kad baigus studijas viskas rutuliosis taip greitai, bet manau kažkas ten iš aukščiau pasirūpino, kad atsidurčiau laiku ir vietoje. Tai ačiū Jam ir likimui, kad kolkas taip visai neblogai viskas dėliojasi. Ačiū ir žmonėms, kurie mane palaikė, kai reikėjo padėjo, kai reikėjo nušluostė ir ašarą tiek studijų metu, tiek dabar ir man neleisdavo nuleisti rankų, kai aš jau budavau praradusi viltis, jie supras 🙂 Prižadu nepasiduoti vos atsiradus kažkokiems sunkumams ir drąsiai keliauti šiuo nauju savo gyvenimo etapu ! #firsttimeteacher #school #teacher #class #promotion
