Progressing one chunky skein at a time. This is the #urchuchillay blue blend that I found on #eBay. It was made on a farm in Somerset by a very nice lady who raised the mohair sheep and alpacas herself. The yarn was an experimental business that she didn’t continue. So I bought out her stock and she only had 350g left which is why I liked this design idea so much. It uses a lot of black and white to fill out the space. I’ve already run out of off-white and will have to improvise the other sleeve. Will I have enough blue? Done! Chunky wool from #urcuchillayalpacas #fibreofthegods has been so nice to knit up. Open crew neckline and a cropped length, so it will hopefully look cosy and oversize without being gigantic. I put a little twisted braid feature down the side body to keep it from stretching out too much. Made on 5.5mm needles with 4.5 hem and neckline to give it bit tighter structure. It’s homegrown wool from a farm in Somerset of 50% alpaca, 30% mohair goats and %20 Shetland wool, I found them on eBay. #sustainableclothing #imadethat
