You forget your headphones, left the book you planned to pack on the coffee table, and are sitting at your resort paranoid that you left the hair dryer plugged in. 🤦🏼♀️ There’s nothing worse, in my opinion! Here’s my day before travel checklist that I’ve perfected to make sure I don’t forget anything: 👉🏻 Start prepping a week before: I start setting things aside for my trip, but I hold off on packing until a day or two before so I remember what’s in my suitcase. 👉🏻 Do a round of editing: right before I pack, I edit to make sure I’m packing what I’ll actually need. I also check the weather forecast where I’m headed to make sure I’m prepared. 👉🏻 Carry-on check: I double- and triple-check my carry-on for my passport, my travel documents, my AirPods, my charging cords, and my lip balm—basically everything I’ll need on the actual flight (chapped lips on a ten-hour flight is the worst!). 👉🏻 Travel admin: I call my credit card company, download any apps I’ll need, make sure I have a copy of my boarding pass, etc. What on your day before travel checklist? This is your monthly reminder that if your passport was issued before September 2018, and you're planning to travel to the EU this year, you need to double-check it will still be valid for travel... 1. I've had a lot of new followers over the past couple of months, so I thought it was time to pop up and say hi! I'm Michelle, owner of this little corner of the internet. I love all things travel... reading about travel, actually travelling, learning about new places both local and overseas, so a travel business was the natural choice! I also used to work as both a holiday rep and a travel agent many moons ago, so to have the chance to do this for myself is amazing! I thought I'd drop you 10 random facts to get to know more about me... 1. I worked in Holland one summer (but still can't speak the language... it's hard!) 2. I hate jam on bread (but it's ok in cakes) - yes really! 3. I'm a massive football fan and obviously support Newcastle United (my husband is a Liverpool fan, and I've just about convinced my son to support Newcastle 😂) 4. I'm super scared of spiders, and hate clowns and horror movies 5. I love reality TV like the Real Housewives Franchises and Million Dollar Listing - New York and Beverley Hills are my favourites 6. I’ve been caught up in finalizing details for my clients who are gearing up to go on an adventure to Europe when they hit me with a great question - what's the best way to get cash in the local currency? 🤔 Recognizing that many of you might have the same question, here’s the lowdown: I recommend using your debit card at an ATM at the airport or a local bank to get currency for the country you're visiting.
