Tre giorni di convegno con relatori internazionali di altissimo livello, nel corso del quale i ricercatori e professionisti del Partenariato stanno affrontando con approccio olistico e multidisciplinare le principali sfide sociali legate al fenomeno dell’invecchiamento demografico, animando ben 52 sessioni scientifiche. Io ho appena presentato i primi risultati del lavoro "Triple standard of aging in Europe", con Gessica Vella (Unical) e Francesco Billari (Bocconi University), che si concentra sulla percezione sociale della vecchiaia ("a che età pensi che un uomo/donna diventi vecchio?") utilizzano i dati della European Social Survey. I’m in bed sick today and felt so badly this morning that I wasn’t able to get the kids ready for camp/child care like I usually do…which reminded me of this old comic. As Ben and the kids were about to walk out the door I asked my daughter to brush her hair and Ben responded with, “She’s fine!” After they left I was thinking about it and realized that I don’t really care if she brushes her hair—it did look fine—I just don’t want to be judged as a mother bc my daughter hasn’t brushed her hair. Ben doesn’t worry about this kind of thing bc he’s never felt judged for how the kids look or act. The ‘Double Standard’ Quartet–featuring Brad Griffing (trumpet), Evan Ceremony (guitar), Victor Serda (bass), and Richard Lujan (drums)–is group of musicians and friends who have been playing as a collective in the East Bay and beyond throughout the last decade. With an eclectic setlist focused on different eras of jazz in the 20th Century, blues, and more, Double Standard blends a traditional format with a forward-thinking mentality informed by each member’s own personal sound and influences. I’m in bed sick today and felt so badly this morning that I wasn’t able to get the kids ready for camp/child care like I usually do…which reminded me of this old comic. As Ben and the kids were about to walk out the door I asked my daughter to brush her hair and Ben responded with, “She’s fine!” After they left I was thinking about it and realized that I don’t really care if she brushes her hair—it did look fine—I just don’t want to be judged as a mother bc my daughter hasn’t brushed her hair. Ben doesn’t worry about this kind of thing bc he’s never felt judged for how the kids look or act.
