Introducing our most complex build to date. We’ve been working around the clock to complete this spaceship of a DJ booth. It has now found its new home at @nextdoorrecords_ 2—a brand new multi-purpose venue encompassing a record shop, restaurant, club, bar, and more. This project marks our most intricate build yet, designed by @dougalsadler to seamlessly integrate with the bar while occupying the central space of the room to accommodate both dancers and record enthusiasts. Some key features of this build: touch-sensitive dimmable lights, integrated into the lower back of the unit/dancefloor and positioned above the equipment on the opposite side. The unit boasts six cupboard doors with a push-top open function, eliminating the need for handles and contributing to a sleeker appearance. A staggered design on the top/back of the unit prevents drinks from being placed near the equipment. The equipment setup includes recessed placements for Technics, CDJ 3000s, and the exquisite Rane 2016 mixer and isolator, with the mixer surround tilted—a preference among many rotary users. In the lower section of the unit, there’s ample space for an amp rack underneath and more, along with a designated slot for a subwoofer at the rear of the unit. On top, you’ll find convenient drink holder slots, while record sleeve compartments are neatly positioned behind the Technics and CDJs slots. ALHAMBRA// Designed by @rachidmacer for @rachidmacer A few months ago on New Year’s Eve I sketched a sideboard that acted as a multifunctional piece for my office so I can DJ and store my books,vinyl, and more. And most of the time my sketches don’t make it out of the sketchbook but this one did for some reason. So I started working on plans to build a Luxury Sideboard /DJ Table This is the second piece of furniture that I’ve designed and built and it’s my favorite so far. And it’s not my favorite because of how it looks but because of the learning journey and the amount of days/nights that I was ready to give up by kept pushing through. With sturdy swivel wheels, the unit can be easily positioned to face the room when the record shop hosts DJ performances, making full use of the CDJ/XDJ stand’s style. As always, cable management is a top priority for us.
