Today, Lilith begged me to cut her hair up to the bottom of her neck. I explained to her that she might not like it and think it’s too short. Das erste Foto ist die „Ausgangssituation“ knapp 1 Jahr nach dem letzten Friseurbesuch 🙈 Und dann kam der wunderbare Workshop von @haarweisheiten wo man lernt, man sich selbst die Haare schneidet. Auf Bild 3&4 siehst du dann mein Endergebnis.(Ich fand’s super 🤩 nicht perfekt, und hier und da ne nervig abstehende Strähne - aber hey das hab ich auch nach nem 70€ Friseurbesuch) Nun 4 Wochen jetzt wollte ich zuerst meinen Pony nachschneiden - jo das ist jetzt nicht so ganz geglückt. Den werde ich noch mal bisschen nachwachsen lassen um es dann neu zu versuchen. Ist ja noch kein Meister vom Himmel gefallen. Und dann bin ich meiner inneren Stimme gefolgt die sagte „den Rest könnteste auch noch mal neu schneiden und vielleicht generell kürzer“ Ich bin happy 😍 Und es macht einfach so viel Spaß und war irgendwie auch meine MeTime. ❤️ Danke an dieser Stelle noch mal an Ute und Leila für den Workshop! So I’ve been cutting my own hair (and my husband’s as well as friends’) for a while now. I have graduated to the next level by giving myself long layers. I was mostly doing baby trims on myself, but my existing layers weren’t getting trimmed as much, so I needed a good chop. I’m happy with the result and I’m glad I didn’t end up with a pixie cut 🤣 My next challenge will be to cut my kids’ hair. But with them being so wiggly, I don’t think I can do it. I’ve been cutting my own hair recently and loving it. The long curtain fringe and soft shag layers help my board straight hair look more shapely and when I curl it, it’s voluminous and bouncy. Chloe is highlighting it Thursday and I’m so excited🤩! I’ve been really working on practicing what I preach by ALWAYS using heat protectant (guilty of not using it and my split ends were screaming at me). I asked Shelby in the break room on Saturday to trim them and they look SO MUCH BETTER, she’s an angel. The ends is the part I have a hard time doing on my own. My hair is on the thinner side and it ain’t getting any thicker as I age, so I can definitely relate with y’all who are also thinning. I wish there was one magic pill to make your hair grow, but there isn’t. You have to be taking care of yourself on the inside (nutrition, vitamins), using good products (@hairstorystudio), and taking care of your hair (shower filter, conditioning treatments, regular trims, not heat styling everyday, going to bed on dry hair, brushing everyday, possibly a scalp serum like @diviofficial, etc…). I know I missed a few things but those are some good ones to incorporate in your routine! Hab schon mitbekommen, dass es unter ADHSlern wohl typisch ist, sich spontan neue Frisuren zu verpassen, weil man's einfach fühlt - my time to shine, würde ich sagen! 😂 Vorletztes und letztes Jahr habe ich besonders viel mit Farben experimentiert und mindestens einmal im Jahr schwing ich die Schere ✂️ Zweiteres hab ich gestern gemacht. Seit meiner Jugend trug ich oft Stufenschnitte und da ich mittlerweile mit mir und meiner Vergangenheit im Reinen bin, dachte ich, ich kann etwas Positives aus dieser Zeit zurück holen. Hab lange nicht mehr so "intensive" Stufen bei mir geschnitten, daher ist alles n bissl schief (upsi). Ich denke dieser "wilde" Schnitt (danke an Schatzi, er hat es als wild bezeichnet und ich denke, es ist der ideale Ausruck für die Frisur!) passt einfach gut zu meinem Inneren, haha! 😂 Ob das das Zeichen dafür ist, dass meine Depression sich wieder vom Acker gemacht hat? Werde ich jetzt googeln, woher das Sprichwort "vom Acker machen" kommt? Und was heißt eigentlich "alsbald"?
