I'm a bit behind on my physical media bulk posts. Here's a bunch of stuff I watched over the last month or so. • By a Man's Face Shall You Know Him • Slumber Party Massacre • Wish • Night of the Comet • Harmonie • Anyone But You • The Wiz • The Visitor • Burn the Witch • Speak • Charlie's Angels • Clouds of Sils Maria • Crimes of the Future • Lizzie First off, last month was Kristen Stewart's birthday so I ended up doing a whole Kristen Stewart binge day. Speak, Charlie's Angels, Clouds of Sils Maria, Crimes of the Future and Lizzie. Crimes of the Future being the standout for me, but Speak was pretty good too. Charlie's Angels was pretty bad. Kristen Stewart was good in it, but my love for Kristen couldn't save it. As for the rest of the bunch, my favourite is probably Night of the Comet. Fun 80s cheesy sci-fi. Loved it. Anyone But You was alright. I'm new to Sydney Sweeney, I know plenty of people love her but this probably wasn't the best introduction to her. It's a fun little clichéd rom com (which I'm totally fine with) but she was better in Immaculate. Glen Powell kinda won me over too, I'll happily watch more rom coms with those two in. I feel like Wish is over-hated, it's not that bad. I liked the watercolour style backdrops, but every other aspect of this film feels kinda 50/50. Some work, some don't. Slumber Party Massacre was a fun little slasher. I did love the couple of little swapped gender tropes, I wish there was more of that. And there's a couple of fun short animes.
