The students are enrolled in Introduction to Law, in which they are learning about the court system. The students listened to presentations from Bail, Probate, the Public Defender's Office, the State's Attorney's Office, and Judge Kwak. On a recent chilly spring day, the advanced English writing class from RIFLI (RI Family Literacy Initiative) came for a lesson and tour. Their visit was part of Lippitt House Museum's Civics Program for Adult English Language Learners. This group of students was particularly interested in the history of Roger Williams and the colonial settlement that founded Providence, and they loved getting to be inside the amazing rooms of Lippitt House.
