Jego muzyka pomogła mi przetrwać bardzo wiele, a gdy wczoraj pojawiła się informacja o jego nadchodzącej nowej muzyce, dużo wspominam rzeczy związanych z jego twórczością. Zresztą nie tylko jego. Tutaj obraz Michała Szykszniana, który w 2009 roku namalował dla mnie mój portret wzorowany na jednej z sesji zdjęciowych MM. Było to zresztą chyba krótko przed koncertem w Stodole, przed którym udało mi się zorganizować przekazanie Mansonowi obrazu, jaki Michał wykonał dla niego, częściowo inspirowanego (fatalnym zresztą) kawałkiem I Want to Kill You Like They Do in the Movies. Obraz na tyle spodobał się, że Michał został zaproszony na spotkanie z Mansonem i miała miejsce mała współpraca między nimi. Everyone’s talking about it so here’s my take on the new @taylorswift album… It’s genius. Brilliant. Beautiful. Raw. REAL. Transparent. Messy. Tangled. Broken. Open. And the list goes on through many words I wouldn’t even know the meanings to… It doesn’t have the pop hits or “bangers” like 1989 or Reputation or Lover or even Midnights. But it’s, by far, my favorite album she’s ever written. It’s literally like listening to beautiful art you just can’t quite put into words bc it just….speaks. It transcends. It takes you into memories and feelings and emotions you only wish you could have put into words the way that she did. People tell me I’m a good writer and that I have a way with words. But I only have them when I’m broken. When I’m sad. When I’m tortured. When I’m lost. I can’t write when I’m happy and when life is good. She can do both. Maybe that’s why I love this album so much…bc I know what it’s like to pour your heart out when it feels empty and numb. I can appreciate what it takes to put words to your own darkness. And that’s what she did with this album. And then there’s the bonus “middle finger” song that we all have someone we’d love to also flip our middle fingers to. This album is epic.
