It's a blustery day by me, and I always like to fight off the chill with a hot beverage. My latest drink obsession is the Disney Collection from Harney & Sons which feature five tea blends inspired by beloved characters! The series includes: 🫖 Mickey Mouse - black tea with rosehips and vanilla 🍯 Minnie Mouse - black tea, rose, honey and caramel 🍎 Snow White - white tea, apple, cornflowers and marigolds 🫖 Jasmine - jasmine green tea, chamomile flowers 🥭 Moana - green bancha tea, coconut, fruit, and island flavors As you can see we purchased the Jasmine and Moana blends and they come in beautiful, collectible tins that hold 30 sachets of tea. I like fruity flavors over floral, so of these two the Moana blend is my favorite, but both are delicious! They also pair very nicely with the assortment of loose leaf teas we have at home. The Halloween fun continues at @laughing_place where we're counting down to the spooky holiday! Today's feature is the YA novel "Bloody Fool for Love" by William Ritter ("Jackaby"; "The Oddmire"). This Spike sequel gives readers a look at the vampire's London-based adventures with Drusilla and Darla nearly 100 years before they meet Buffy. Spike is fresh off his first Slayer kill (yep, there's more than one) and that should be exhilarating enough, but with Angel gone—soul curses are the worst—there's not much holding their vampire family together. So when Spike learns of an ancient relic that Drusilla would love, he sets out to get it for her. Easy peasy right? Well this *is* Spike we're talking about so you can bet nothing goes as he plans. I had the pleasure of reviewing the title for Laughing Place and found it to be a rather fun, proper demon caper! And as a fan of the TV series, I appreciated a subtle callback to the episode "Fool for Love" (S5 E7) that also focuses on Spike in this era. This MCU Infinity Saga jigsaw puzzle is one of my favorite accomplishments. The massive (I love you) 3000 piece puzzle was quite a project but it was so much fun. Almost every movie from Phases 1-3 is featured here. The exceptions are "Hulk" and Tom Holland's "Spider-Man" films which were co-produced by different studios. The sorting and build took about 30 hours spread over 2 weeks to complete; the glueing (two sections) and mounting was another 3 day process but I'm so happy with the end result. The puzzle is made by Aquarius and I was very pleased with the quality of the pieces—they have the perfect thickness and held together securely—and the vibrancy of colors. It measures 32" wide x 45" high meaning it's nearly as big as me (5'2")! I purchased my puzzle on BoxLunch, but it's currently out of stock. Yes, you read that correctly this piece of apparel can be worn as a poncho or a skirt and both versions look great. I love the cut, length and weight—it's not too long, short or heavy—and feels like something that can be worn year round.
