We can see the equipment, the staff and, on the right, the actors, including Clara Bow who seems so fragile and lost in the density of the decor... this is the film where she had a nervous breakdown and tried to destroy a microphone, with nothing but her hands (she had injured herself)... I found traces of this photo on the web : this collector's item had already been sold in 2021 on an auction site and suddenly reappeared a week ago, at a professional dealer in New York. Touching moment for me. It's amazing to see words written by her hand, it's like having a part of Clara Bow and her soul with me. I think this signature dates from the early 1930s. I spent my sunday afternoon with the documentary "Clara Bow : Discovering the "it" girl", narrated by Courtney Love. I had never seen it before and it was so beautiful and moving. Seeing her move and talk touches me so deeply, as if I know her... very strange feeling ! I finished the documentary with a sort of nostalgia and sadness (I was born in 1977, so far from the 20s), but with the desire to see and rewatch all of his films ! I love her so much. I'm passionnate by cinema (all eras) but this is the first time I've felt something like that towards an actress. Unexplained phenomenon. J'ai passé mon dimanche après-midi avec le documentaire "Clara Bow : Discovering the "it" girl", narré par Courtney Love. Je ne l'avais jamais vu auparavant et c'était tellement beau et émouvant. La voir bouger et parler me touche si profondément, comme si je la connaissais... sensation très étrange ! J'ai terminé le documentaire avec une sorte de nostalgie et de tristesse (je suis né en 1977, donc loin des années 20), mais avec l'envie de voir et revoir tous ses films ! Je l'aime tellement. Extrait : " J'ai grandi en Afrique du Sud à une époque où il n'y avait pas de télévision et où l'exploitation des salles de cinéma était limitée et très contrôlée. Je n'ai donc jamais vraiment acquis un goût pour la télévision, plutôt encline à la lecture. Par conséquent, et heureusement, je n'avais absolument aucune connaissance de l'univers Star Trek lorsque j'ai auditionné pour le rôle et tourné le film. Je ne l'ai découvert qu'après la sortie de Star Trek : Premier Contact. Lorsque nous avons tourné Premier Contact, il me fallait 6 heures pour faire mon maquillage et enfiler mon costume et deux heures pour l'enlever - ce qu'ils ont fait avec beaucoup de douceur et de précaution, car nous l'avons remis en place 9 heures plus tard ! Mais je dois dire que le maquillage et le costume ont été un merveilleux cadeau de Scott Wheeler (maquillage) et Todd Masters (costume). On ne peut pas l'imaginer séparément de son apparence et ils me l'ont donné. Je veux dire que je n'aurais pas pu me présenter sur le plateau et être la reine Borg sans avoir l'apparence qu'elle avait - c'était le summum de la performance collaborative.
