Just recently Neo Soo Sian Sylvia & I, we both just represented Singapore, completed another 24hrs straight non stop without sleeping GAI hackathon @ Google & Rakuten office, received another yet certificate of participation in GAI, tough to get World Champion in AI when there so many top notch World Best AI professionals partake in this hackathon... Just gotten our Masters Degree in AI also... Basically we want to incorporate AI into positive aspects of technical diving, education and exploration research & studies in near future... Since year 2014 onwards, we already have our own set of tech dive course certs, rebreathers, studied, comprehend everything but haven't got to dive much of tech or deep dives recently .. A new Indonesian private island, named ONE°15 Marina Nirup Island, opened in July nine miles south of Singapore. The launch — the first of two phases — included the opening of a restaurant and bar, ferry terminal and marina that can hold 44 yachts up to 150 feet long. Immigration and customs services are also available, though currently by appointment only. Nirup Island is accessible only via private boat, according to a company representative, but that will change upon completion of the second phase of development in 2024. 3D reconstruction of a submarine cave from underwater 360-degree videoIn April 2021, Andrew Simpson and his friends dived Crystal Cave (New Zealand) with the intention of filming it for later 3D reconstruction. The model of the cave was to be included in a scuba diving simulator for Virtual Reality (VR) goggles. We wanted to share the experience of diving this cave with others, and find out how well VR is suited for teaching technical scuba diving procedures. New Zealand is home to a few small beautiful submarine caves, especially at the Poor Knights Islands. Bruce W Hayward writes that these were mostly carved out no earlier than the second to last glacial period, when sea levels were lower. The pounding waves forced their way along pre-existing fracture planes of the massive rocks, gradually eroding them out to form guts, caves and arches. A total of 16 caves are dotted around the Poor Knights Islands and are wallpapered with vibrant sponges and algae and home to schools of fish, moray eels, and rock lobster. Some are mere caverns, barely extending past the light zone. Others extend over 100m into the rock of the island. One of these longer caves is Crystal Cave, also known as Stirling Cave and Scary Cave. It is located in Punawai Bay, approximately 400m south of famous Rikoriko Cave. The entrance to Crystal Cave lies in 20m of water on a sandy bottom dotted with rocks and kelp.
