📍Batu Mandi; Vol.1 Ghosnet removal dive by PMRS crew and AnakPulau to immediately remove the threat on the reefs. Ghost nets cast a formidable shadow over our cherished marine ecosystems. In the past month alone, we've responded to three separate sightings, mobilizing our dedicated staff and enlisting the help of local youth from Anak Pulau to remove them. Regardless of whether these nets are intentionally discarded or accidentally entangled and left behind, they remain devastating to marine life. Through our Reef Care initiative - a community-centered effort focused on reef restoration and conservation action - we strive to foster broader participation from the local community in reef management. Our primary goal is to raise awareness regarding eco-friendly practices, especially in light of Perhentians' marine park status.
