All you need to do is send your photograph to us by email, letting us know who took it, what software (if any) used to edit it and where/when it was taken. You can use any sort of camera including phone cameras - just make sure you have permission to use it. We’ll have categories for parents as well as current pupils, and if any alumni want to join in then we’ll create your very own category too. Remember that, above all other composition techniques, filters and advice for taking great photos, the golden rule is: BE THERE! So get outside, wherever you are this half term, and look for the signs that tell you spring is on the way. It could be brand new lambs, tight leaf buds, brave bulbs, shirt sleeves or hot cross buns - we want to see what you discover through your viewfinder. I cried every time, new life is so wondrous (I cried a lot with 100 births a day) it was such a privilege to be the first person to see a new life. 100 births a day 6 beds - they were allowed 5minutes recovery 😱 I often had 2 births at a time as they were so short of staff. I took out soap and gloves (hence 1 glove as they were rationed, soap every 3rd wash) I didn’t randomly choose to be a midwife in Tanzania. - I am a mathematics teacher but fancied doing something completely different so I did a nursing degree as a mature student. The competition was open to children between 10 and 16 years and the theme of the photographs was flora and fauna, observed at Majjistral Park. Many of our students participated and we are pleased to announce that: Ava Vozarova (Level 6 Yellow) won first place in the Fauna Competition. Morena Coco (Level 6 Green) won first place in the Flora Photographic competition. Emily Caselli (Level 6 Yellow) placed second in the Fauna competition. DEADLINE APPROACHING! Din l-Art Ħelwa, with the help of Bank of Valletta, is organising a photographic competition as part of its remit to improve awareness on the importance of the natural environment. The competition will be open for children between 10 and 16 years, and has two categories: flora and fauna. All photos must be taken at Majjistral park. A prize of €300 is to be awarded to each of the winning entries for the two photographic categories, and €200 for the second-placed entrants.
