My weekend in Batuu! I had the chance to meet with dear friends on their Disney trip (Mike and Val, but they’re not on instagram) and they happened to be in Hollywood the night I could meet them (Friday), so we walked around and ended the night with drinks at Oga’s Cantina (Fuzzy Tauntaun 🫨)! The next day, I was in Hollywood again with Wayne, and his brother visiting from PA! We were back at Oga’s (to-go pickup—their fancy raspberry drink was NOT NEARLY AS FANCY to-go as at the bar 🫤), I took a drive-by selfie with Chewie as I wore my Wookiee Cookie earrings (I made them but someone else made the cookies I based them on), and we severely damaged the Millenium Falcon on Smuggler’s Run 😂 We were also towed around by aliens not yet discovered by our Star Wars heroes! It was my first time on that ride AND smugglers run, and we also had a fun time getting our hair messed up and our stomachs jostled around on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway! 🚂 🧺 We hopped over to Epcot for some garden festival treats, Moana’s water area (another first), and to get my Garden Graze redemption prize! Mesa called Jar-Jar Binks! 😆 This weekend I visited Disneyland wearing the new dorky Star Wars Jar-Jar Binks hat! Oh, how It’s the little things in life that bring me so much joy haha! While in Batuu, we were also lucky enough to run into the new BD Droids! These little BD Droids have so much personality and we had a blast watching them explore Batuu! After catching up Rey, she sent us on a mission was to scrounge around Batuu & Tomorrowland to decrypt the Season of the Force Rebel code. Once complete we were given a commemorative Chewbacca trading card! All that hunting made us a bit hungry, so we stopped at Docking Bay 7 to try their new Fried Chicken Baos: Two Crispy Chicken Baos, Spicy Katsu Sauce with Creamy Slaw. Surprisingly delicious, but a bit of a small portion size in my opinion. Before the nights end we dropped into Oga's Cantina to try the new drinks, the Fiery Mustafarian & Silver Sea Martini. These drinks were originally featured on the Galactic Starcruiser and have recently made their way to Batuu. Both were delicious, but I especially liked the Fiery Mustafarian. I tasted it and didn’t care for the crunchy topping but the gelatin with popping pearls was okay. She didn’t want to order a beverage but did try my Carbon Freeze which was a combo of lemon-lime, strawberry, and blueberry with green apple popping pearls. And an interesting note- the Batuu Bits snack mix was gluten free because it’s made with lentil flour! Let’s do a throwback and #thirstythursday , but Star Wars style 🥹 Our first visit as a family of 3 to Oga’s vs. our most recent visit to Oga’s 😂 why didn’t I take a photo of all 3 of us last time?
