Waste management staff who have gone above and beyond to help those in need have been praised by Oldham Council chief executive Harry Catherall 👏 Harry visited pillar of the community frontline heroes whose quick and compassionate responses have made a huge impact and in some cases saved lives, such as helping a lady concussed after falling on the ice and providing crucial support to two gentlemen, one with dementia who had suffered a head wound and one who needed urgent care. Our archivist talked about Mary and the Beautiful Oldham Society she set up in 1902. Mary's work to make Oldham a greener, more pleasant place lives on in the work Northern Roots is doing.
