Crônica UM POUCO DE SOL PARA O SUL Cesar Garcia Lima Às vezes acordo sem poesia. Isso me lembra o poema “Paixão”, de Adélia Prado, que começa assim: De vez em quando Deus me tira a poesia/ Olho pedra, vejo pedra mesmo.” É como se o anseio de transcendência fosse reduzido a simples materialidade, tudo fosse o que vemos e acabou-se. Mas não é da minha natureza pensar no mundo só pelo seu contorno. Queria ter escrito uma crônica de Ano Novo sobre “querer o que é nítido”, verso que anotei em meus arquivos digitais. No entanto, 2024 começou nebuloso, adversativo, e continua estranho. É preciso palmilhar cada trecho do caminho com calma, respiração profunda e meditação. “Fazendo, fazendo, um dia feito”, ensina o mestre indiano Lahiri Mahasaya. O desafio cotidiano é equilibrar todas as condições anormais de temperatura e pressão de nossa época com os desejos de mudança. Vejo as imagens da inundação do Rio Grande do Sul como quem quer encontrar um ponto inicial da catástrofe. Não tenho sucesso e rememoro o pouco que conheço de Porto Alegre a partir do Parque do Retiro, do hotel onde morou Mário Quintana, da comida farta. A propagação de notícias falsas parece tirada de um roteiro mal feito de filme de ficção científica, com tudo pronto para chocar. Um cachorro que se apoia pelas patas dianteiras num muro cercado de água, à espera do homem que o resgata, reinaugura em mim a possibilidade de que a resistência vem dos animais e da natureza. Fico paralisado ao ler a notícia sobre uma família que morreu abraçada. Uma nova lembrança me traz um livro do escritor gaúcho Caio Fernando Abreu intitulado “O triângulo das águas” (1984), ainda que essas águas se refiram ao universo emocional dos personagens e não ao líquido. Notícias sobre cidades-esponjas na China, preparadas para absorver água das chuvas, e outra sobre a necessidade de quebrar calçadas para ter mais áreas verdes, me surpreendem. "When by the proper pranayama technique of meditation the concentrated Kriya Yogi distills life force from breath and reinforces the prana already present in the body cells and cerebrospinal centers, then even the yogi-beginner occasionally sees his spiritual eye of light. By deeper practice of Kriya Yoga or breathlessness, he perceives his astral body. Finally he is able to see his physical body as an electroatomic structure, an emanation in grosser form (by denser vibratory force) of the fine rays of the astral body. "By further advancement the yogi realizes the astral body with its texture of light to be an 'idea' or materialized thought of God. When he has fully understood the ideational body, he is able to withdraw his consciousness from the three bodily prisons and unite himself as soul with the dreamless blessedness of God. A contemplative silence began to infuse itself into the Temple, as Yukteshwar ji’s birthday kirtan neared conclusion. This was of the ways in which Yukteshwarji made his presence felt today, for it was quite like his own habitual silence, “caused by his deep perceptions of the Infinite,” as described by Yoganandaji in Autobiography of a Yogi. Perhaps this Master of Space and Time was blessing us with messages about the secrets of Infinity in ways that made sense to each of us in deeply personal ways. Necessity of Pratyahara. Man enjoys a thing when he so desires. At the time of the enjoyment, however, If he directs his organs of sense, through which he enjoys, toward the obiect of his desire, he can never be satistied, and his desires increase in double force. On the contrary, if he can direct his organs of sense inward toward his Self, at that time he can satisty his heart immediately. So the practice of the aforesaid Pratyahara, the changing of the direction of the voluntary nerve currents inward, is a desirable way to fulfill his worldly desires.
