Wu Chi-Tsung: Synchronicity, the artist's first museum solo exhibition is on view now through October 1 at the Katonah Museum of Art. The exhibition features the artist’s multi-disciplinary practice and highlights his most recent Cyano-Collage series. This ambitious body of work seamlessly incorporates Eastern aesthetics with collage and photographic processes to create sublime reinterpretations of traditional Chinese Shan Shui (mountain-water) landscape paintings. A meditative video installation that highlights the artist's approach to Chinese landscape painting and provides a unique opportunity for visitors to understand the myriad ways in which Wu’s work engages with and reinterprets tradition and nature. A day of shared art, music, and food with friends! Times like this make me grateful for the area I live! The day started with coffee from my favorite local joint @lmnopbakery followed by brunch at @purdysfarmerandthefish. Sadly we missed the farmers market at @johnjayhomestead. Taiwanese artist Wu Chi-Tsung’s “Synchronicity” exhibition at @katonahmuseum was absolutely inspired and mesmerizing, and I was so happy to hear live for the first time Christie Dashiell, Edmar Castaneda, and Cecile McLorin Savant, all fantastic performances as part of the #jazzfestival at @caramoor — thank you @yasushibass 🙏 For those who don’t know, #katonah is an artistic cultural oasis just an hour from the city ❤️🎶🎨

Blown away by the new exhibition @katonahmuseum Miniature Worlds: Joseph Cornell, Ray Johnson, Yayoi Kusama. This brilliant exhibition explores the friendships between Joseph Cornell and the artists Ray Johnson and Yayoi Kusama. Go see the intimate yet very impressive show that brings their works together for the first time. I am a big Joseph Cornell admirer and love the work of Ray Johnson yet had no idea about their connection. Michelle Yun Mapplethorpe, the museum’s director, has displayed their creative connection and it is fascinating to see how Cornell inspired both Kusama and Johnson.
