I am very excited to share that I have started a new role with Disney as a Disability Access Services Agent! This new role will allow me to connect with guests with disabilities prior to their arrival to the Disney Parks to help them and their families have an accessible and inclusive experience. As someone who within the last few years has had to find strength in asking for help and accommodations within my own disabilities, I’m extremely excited to move into this new role that’ll allow me to give guidance and resources to our guests in this capacity. Over the last few years as I’ve gone through my own medical journey I have often feared if I would be able to rebuild a life and career for myself with the new limitations my health has brought me, so I am so grateful for this new opportunity ahead of me that fits both my own health needs within a work environment as well as compliments my strengths and passions. ✨ || #countitalljoy #disneycentral

Today was one of those incredible days where I got to step back and see how far I’ve come. My Marketing team was invited to tour Disney Central where I spent a year working almost 10 years ago. The tour brought back a lot of familiar spaces, faces and fun memories (as well as a few “definitely cried in this restroom” moments). One of my old leaders was part of the team that welcomed us and greeted me by saying how excited she was to see my name on the list, welcoming back “one of their own.” 🥰 Disney truly is a company like no other and it’s not lost on me that the connections I made and my time in this building started me on the career I have today. Today was a day that helped refill some much-needed pixie dust. I worked in the office today to attend a celebration that I thought would be just in recognition of our new name tags. Instead, we were showered with goodies, got to take part in paintings that will hang at @adventhealth Tampa, had a visit from the media, and even got to meet the @wdw.ambassador, Ali and Raevon! Of course, let us not forget the awesome photo ops with the big boss, Mickey Mouse, and his best pal, Pluto! Today is the day I graduated from The Disney Central Explorer Program. This 5 month long leadership mentorship program has been exhilarating and at times felt like Graduate school part 2! I was challenged with weekly classes, individual assignments, mentor meetings and projects. I loved every second of the program and all of the people I have met! This program not only taught me how to be a leader, but how to inspire others and work on leaving behind my own legacy footprint.
