Artist Point is one of my favorite restaurants on Disney property🍎 It is an enchanted forest themed character dining restaurant (open only for dinner 4pm-9:15pm) located in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort. Snow White, Dopey, and Grumpy come to every guest’s table & at the end of the meal, everyone gets a chance to meet the Evil Queen! I got the Magic Mirror’s Slow-braised Pork Shank & it was truly the best pork I’ve ever had. I 10/10 recommend eating here during your next Disney vacation!

10 years ago, as an 18 almost 19 year old, I moved a thousand miles away from my family to pursue my dream of working for Disney. I’m so thankful for the last 10 years of Disney trips, working there, and meeting some of my favorite people because of Disney. Moving away to somewhere no one knew me was a chance for me to start being who I am. The happiness I felt/feel every time I go to Florida is amazing. My DCP was life changing for me. 10 years ago I didn’t think I’d be alive or ever feel like I wanted to be alive. When I was 18 I didn’t think I’d ever be happy or that I’d find somewhere I belong. From seeing Festival of Fantasy on opening day, doing a cast preview of Mine Train before it was open, a backstage tour of Tower of Terror, always being stuck in Magic Kingdom because of the Electrical Parade, countless hours at the parks, and making lifelong friendships - I’m forever thankful. So much has changed in the last 10 years - in me and in the Walt Disney World Resort - but my love for the company and theme parks has stayed consistent. I hope one day I can move back and work there again, but for now it’s see ya real soon. 🐭🫶🏻

It is IMPOSSIBLE to fully put into words what the last ~6.5 months/199 days have been for me. In short, it has been the absolute best experience of my LIFE and the fulfillment of my biggest dream🤍 It has been busy, unreal, hot, and INCREDIBLY magical. There’s many aspects of the DCP and Cast life that only those who have done so can truly understand. Moments I could never BEGIN to explain. I am so proud of how much I’ve grown and the new perspectives I’ve gained. I made sure to take advantage of EVERYTHING while here!! I stayed at EVERY SINGLE Disney Resort at WDW, went to the beach, worked ALL hours, rode cosmic rewind weekly, took a road trip, participated in housing events, did backstage tours, had MANY park days, tried a ton of new dining locations, took a Disney cruise, and met and worked with the MOST AMAZING, interesting people from all OVER the world! I created magic everyday for guests in a lunch box and theater. I was even able to network, meet engineers, and take steps towards my dream career with Disney… and shake hands with the President of Walt Disney World! So thankful for these unique experiences that I may never have again. I learned SO so much about COMMUNICATION, hard work, inclusion, e-vacs, 3-stepping, hail in Florida, problem-solving, dealing with angry guests, adjusting to military time babyyy, after hours Hollywood Studios, the Company, and more. I even got 18 Cast Compliments! My time here has FILLED my heart. I’ve never felt so welcomed, valued, and happy. I wore my name tag with so much pride knowing the responsibility and reputation it carried of Disney and my university. I know I will treasure these memories and people forever. The Disney family is UNMATCHED. Studios and WDW will always remind me of my program. My DCP was equally the most special and CRAZY time of my life!! ✨last WHO’s WHO WEDNESDAY✨ for the semester! Meet Crystal! She had done the SA program in 2020 but got sent home to Covid, but had the amazing opportunity to be one of the first CPs invited back in 2021! Her new program was from June 2021-January 2022, but extended till June 2022! She worked in Merchandising at the LARGEST Disney store in the WORLD, “World of Disney” in Disney Springs. During her time there, she became a trainer at her location, helping new CPs like herself and other Cast Members learn their new role. What a feat for a CP. Crystal is now currently still earning her degree in Elementary Education, and still continues to go down to FL every few months to get her Disney fix in! Fun fact, if you have been to the employment fairs or sessions this past year, Crystal was the one presenting✨ Thank you all for a magical year!
