Aotearoa, or as most of us know it as, New Zealand is a land of wonder, beauty, and friendly inhabitants. My favorite vertical photos from my latest adventure. My getaway to Washington’s peninsula with my dad was spectacularly beautiful. @samantha_newkirk1 joining us for the first half of the trip was incredible (more pictures to come!). She's living her dreams, now working at Big Sur, and it's inspiring to see her chase her passions. We explored so much during this trip – from the historic Victorian downtown of Port Townsend to the bunkers and beach views at Fort Worden and Fort Flagler, to returning to "our" beach, which holds a world of childhood memories.The shallow waters, teeming with kelp, seaweed, and tiny crabs, brought back nostalgic moments of trying to navigate through them. I also got a precious few hours with Mary, it’s so wonderful to reconnect with friends. Venturing into Olympic National Park was an absolute highlight. The majestic views at Hurricane Ridge took our breath away, and a soothing soak in the hot springs at Sol Duc was pure bliss. It struck me that I hadn't left Wenatchee since spring, and I realized the importance of taking breaks and coming back to this beautiful playground from my childhood more often.
