Headed back to my hometown/college town over Easter for a visit and caught up with the man who gave me my first opportunity as a graphic designer. First as an internship to get my degree from the @uofwyoming and then hiring me on right out of college. During those 4 years he was a mentor, a teacher and a friend and ultimately gave me that first opportunity to design a sports poster when the UW Athletics Dept came to our studio needing help with the upcoming school yearβs football poster because it was a big one for the school and state. 15 years later, I went on to do the whole programβs graphics for a number of years freelancing, and then from there went on to build a career and portfolio as the Art Director for the @nuggets @coloradoavalanche @coloradomammoth @coloradorapids with Kroenke Sports. The icing on the cake has been to be a part of the team that rebranded my childhood favorite team, the Nuggets (the logo on my mask and hoodie). It took a lot of work, determination, frustration sometimes, and patience on my part to build the career I have had in sports and now my own brand on top of that, but Iβll never not stop and thank the people who supported and believed in me along the way. Thank you for seeing something in a kid whoβs been overlooked and not given a chance, that maybe I should have so many other times in life. Never wanted anything more than the chance to prove it. Thanks for showing me just like my parents did, that leaders celebrate the people theyβve lead and the people that helped them become leaders. Templeogue Basketball Club made it 4 from 4 in the Basketball Ireland Menβs Super League with an 82-88 win over reigning champions UCD Marian in Belfield. A full house watched TBC race into an 11-32 lead at the end of the first. Neil Randolph hitting five 3 pointers. The 2nd quarter saw the hosts fight back and were all set to go into the break 4pts down only for TBCβs Padraig Burke to score on the buzzer. 36-42 in favor of Templeogue. The third quarter was an even affair, both sides making some big scores. TBC leading 58-67 at the break. It was in the 4th that TBCβs latest signing, Dee βMonstaβ Proby, really turned on the style. UCD Marian leveled the game at 75-75, but Proby, pumped up by the opposition fans heckles, added to his tally to finish the game with 29pts. A massive result that sees Templeogue BC remain at the top of the table going into the National Cup weekend next week.
