今日のバリチューはメンバー4人の参加になりました！ カルテット曲の集中練習の日となったんです！ 公民館イベントの曲を練習してから、新曲や難易度の高い曲を譜読みしました！ ・運命の力 ・トッカータとフーガニ短調 ・コズミック ・ラプソディ 運命の力は全体的に音域が高くTubaメンバーから「レベル最強だね」と言われました。 トッカータとコズミックの後に、少し楽しい曲をやろうとなってラプソディの譜面を配りました。 予想はしていましたがテンポは指定テンポもしくはそれより早めの練習となり皆んな真剣💦 結局は全曲通して大変な練習でしたが、充実した時間を過ごせたと思います😊 帰りに山岡家に寄ってラーメン大盛りをペロリと食べてしまいましたとさ〜🍜 #相模原ユーフォ・チューバアンサンブル #カルテット #運命の力序曲 #トッカータとフーガニ短調 #コズミック #ラプソディ #難しい曲にチャレンジ #euphonium #tuba #ensemble

Day 4 First slide: a little except from one of my jr. Year district band pieces "Pastorale Setting: Llywn Onn". It's a good lip slurring piece, imo it's easy to tell I haven't played for two days. I don't sound terrible, but I certainly don't sound very good lol, the fact I don't have any of my personal tubas might play into that though. But still school tuba coming in clutch to let me be able to practice. Slide 2: Blazhevich 2, I like what I did this evening I think that it's laying the groundwork for me to really get into the piece and decide what I want it to sound like. Sure there's a few flubs, but overall I think it was pretty ok! My goal is to work on a couple (1 or 2) of the Blazhevich etudes each week until I get them to a point that I like musically! P.S. sorry again for the lapse trying to get my chops back after the last two weeks or so has been a challenge, I'm just going to keep taking it easy with the practice until I feel confident I'm mostly back! #tuba #practice #band #lowbrass

Day 81/100: Today I reviewed my fundamentals in playing tuba. Listening back to recordings really helps me pick out what I usually don't notice on a day-to-day basis. Writing it down further drills the existence of these silent weak spots in my mind, allowing me to spot it easier the next time around. It's not written down in the picture, but lip slurs are a major weak spot too right now (I wonder how long it's been like that). Tomorrow is Sunday. We’re getting to the point of the school year where no one is quite sure what day it is and there is ALWAYS an evening or weekend activity we have to be present for. Today was the Dude’s final performance in a band as a 6th grader. He was invited to be a part of the All-County Honors Beginner Band. Kiddos from 6th grade band classes all over our county came together for a clinic this morning and learned five different songs. They performed four of the songs they learned for their families this afternoon. We are really proud of this kid. Not just because he’s a band nerd like his momma was 🤪 He has stepped out of his comfort zone and tried new things. He’s learned some patience and new skills. And he’s made friends along the way! She gets to ski, ice skate, roast marshmallows, and have fun with her sister and cousins. If she were a time of day she would be late afternoon. It's the best time of day because she wouldn't be at school, all her homework would be done, and she could play games or take a nap. If she could be any animal, she would be a sloth. Sloths sleep all day and do nothing. Not only that but they are intelligent.
