We hadden naar Krakau moeten gaan. Naar Zanzibar. Of naar een camping in Frankrijk, elke dag stokbrood met Nutella. In De Zon. Maar nee. Wij gingen drie dagen naar Groningen-stad en dan nog vier dagen in een glampingtent bij het Lauwersmeer. In De Regen. Het eerste wat we deden was een jas kopen, want die was ik vergeten. Misschien dacht ik toch even dat we naar Maleisië gingen, misschien was het om het lot te tarten, om de Law of Attraction uit te dagen, of misschien was het gewoon dom. Een regenjas was snel gevonden, maar het kostte me veel moeite om het ‘had ik maar’ van me af te schudden. Onze tijd is kostbaar, herinneringen maken belangrijk. Waarom zaten we - juist nu -niet op een onvergetelijke plek? Maar ín het nu is alles altijd anders dan je denkt. 💛Groningen is echt een heel leuke stad, 💛de glampingtent was fantastisch, inclusief regendouche, 💛 we hebben veel gelopen, gefietst, gezien, gedaan, gegeten en veel gelezen, heel gezellig met herfstthee 😊 en onder een dekentje 😅, 💛 wat zijn er leuke Friese dorpen en stadjes, 💛na drie minuten vielen we al bijna van onze fiets op Schiermonnikoog van alle schoonheid die we zagen: rechts de Waddenzee, links het mooiste groen, boven ons een blauwe lucht (jawel) met witte wolken, en verder niets of niemand. 💛 het is altijd wel een keer droog op een dag 💛 fijn gezelschap is KEY. Tears from heaven, dacht ik op de ochtend van de verjaardag van de vader van onze dochters. The gift you gave, dacht ik, toen ‘s middags in Dokkum de zon doorbrak en ze allebei blij een mooie boekenwinkel binnenliepen. Hij zou trots op ze zijn.
