“City Hall, Then and Now” c. 1970 and 2024 At a meeting held on March 19, 1850, the citizens of the town of Newburyport voted to build a new and commodious hall at a cost of at most $30,000.00. On April 15, a committee was formed to supervise the construction of the building. This committee comprised Charles H. Coffin, Albert Currier, John M. Cooper, Frederick J. Coffin, James Blood, and others. These men were authorized to purchase land on the northwesterly corner of Green and Pleasant Streets, which they proceeded to do. The committee members provided all of the necessary expertise for the construction of the new Town Hall. Currier was a noted contractor and mason. Frederick Coffin was a local architect, and James Blood was a real estate investor. The cornerstone was laid on July 4, 1850. By February 1851, the building had been completed according to the designs of Frederick J. Coffin. On May 24, 1851, Governor Boutwell of Massachusetts signed an act establishing the City of Newburyport. At that time, the new Town Hall became Newburyport’s City Hall. In 1882, a small addition was made on the western side of City Hall. At that time, a new stage entrance was installed, and galleries were added to the auditorium. Since its construction, City Hall has been the site of Newburyport’s municipal government. London Trip Day 2-4 A word from Pauln🌈 After leaving the Abbey Road Studios shop, we saw the Abbey Road Baptist church, which Abbey Road Studios was named after, and then bought some Beatles goods again at a rare Beatles specialty store. And with the help of a great family from Naoshima, we recreated the scene from the Beatles film "A Hard Day's Night" where The Beatles are chased by fans and collapsed at Boston Place NW1. We then toured the church where Paul McCartney was married three times and visited the home where John Lennon and Yoko Ono lived (still owned by Ringo Starr). We then headed to Marylebone Station, where the famous scene in the Beatles movie "A Hard Day's Night" was filmed, in which George makes a call on a public phone. However, the public telephones have been removed.🥲 Here we said goodbye to the Naoshima family and went to lunch at "NORTH SEA FISH" with our private guide. Of course we had fish and chips. It was delicious, just as our guide recommended.😋 After lunch we went to the bookstore that was the setting for my favorite movie, "Notting Hill." I was feeling very satisfied and was about to leave when I spotted a green apple 🍏 at a fruit stall. Hmm, I must have forgotten something.🤔 Oh, I forgot to see the Apple Building, where The Beatles played their last concert, but I didn't give up.✌️ While laughing with my private guide, I hurriedly got into a taxi and headed straight to the Apple Building. I told the taxi driver to wait there, took some photos, and then returned to the hotel. Although there was an unexpected incident at the end of the private Beatles tour in London, it was a very fulfilling and fun day. Thank you Kyoko-san. You are a great guide. Let's meet again. エレキ🎸 買って 約2週間が経ちました 🗓️ 目標の曲は 半分くらい進んだかな😅 今日は アコギで練習していた #nowandthen のギターソロの部分✨✨ エレキで弾いてみました (*´╰╯`๓)♬ アコギで伴奏も弾いて それぞれを 合体させて 念願の #バンドひとり やりたかったのですが どうしても スタートが合わず😭 またの機会にします ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و YouTubeで お手本見ると🤓 スライドバーなるものを 使ってらっしゃるので 通販で買ってみましたが… 超初心者🔰には 難しすぎた💦 ちょうど 七味唐辛子の 空き瓶があったから そんなんでも 代用出来るらしい💦 ワンカップ大関の 空き瓶とかも〜😆🍶 話 それますが 七味と一味 どちらが好きですか？ 一味って、 なんか、敵の一味 みたいで、面白いですよね それから 超有名曲 #smokeonthewater (すごーく疲れたー) も 超初心者🔰の 私にも 弾けちゃう リフ、っていうんですか⁈ 驚きでした🫢 ♪ ♪ DEEP PURPLE💜 弾くには 洋服がラブリーすぎました😅 もっとワイルドに するべきでした🤣 洋服選び間違えました🫠 ♪ ♪ むかーし 教育テレビで放送してた #ハッチポッチステーション で グッチ裕三さん パロディで 演奏していて こちらも YouTubeで観られるのですが… おもしろすぎて🤣 お腹が痛くなるほど 笑えます🤣 ご存知の方いるかな〜 アバのダンシングクイーンを ババの単身赴任とか〜🤣 パパのクラリネット 壊しちゃったとか〜 とりとめもないキャプションで 長くなってしまいました ( ¯⌓¯ )💭 みなさま GW後半 お元気にお過ごしください！！ #エレキギター初心者 #エレキギター始めました #レスポール #lespaul #たまらん
しりあがりさんとタイムトラブル 江戸✖️東京 友達が教えてくれて、一緒にしりあがり寿さん講演会で笑ってきました😄 パロディって意外性と納得性のバランス、とおっしゃっていて、確かに〜と思いながらププっと笑いが出ながら聞いていました 北斎さんは構図をキメキメにして一瞬を切り取った感じの緊張感のある作風、 広重さんはもっとバランス型の人らしく、余白を使いながら、一緒に東海道五十三次を歩いたり雨の中走っているような動きあり 1,2枚目は東海道江尻田子の浦の略図のパロディで、海の船をロボットの腕に見立て、必死に腕を漕いで浜に向かう図 このロボット、なんか昭和的 3,4枚目は深川万年橋下 小名木川から隅田川へ料金所ができていて塩を乗せた船が楽ちんなETC側に入っていきます🛣️ 色と形と江戸と東京が交錯します🌊🤖 ずっと脱力していたい…！ #shiriagarikotobuki #ukiyoe #katsushikahokusai #utagawahiroshige #edoandtokyo #nowandthen
