One can achieve this by making time to read and talk together about the Word of God in addition to being united in prayer and putting the Word of God into practice. Sarah gave a suggestion to her husband Abraham about how to handle the situation, even though it conflicted with Abraham's thoughts. But God told Abraham: "Listen to her voice." (Genesis 21:9-12) Of course, this does not mean that the husband always yields to his wife's suggestions. However, it is helpful to discuss with her decisions that will affect the family, and encourage her to openly express her feelings and thoughts. Always ensure the lines of communication are open, and be easy to approach and consider her opinions in the decisions you make. Do not be demanding or unkind when taking the lead, but be humble. You both are not perfect and you will make mistakes, but when you do, you will hope that your wife understands. It's 9 o'clock in the morning and satan decided he wanted to bother me today. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 I just woke up maybe an hour ago. I had a good night's sleep this time. I prayed to Jehovah and used the coping skills He's given me. And it worked just fine! It seems when I turn on JW at night I sleep so much better. As opposed to turning on SpongeBob or Gumball or anything else. I cannot sleep in complete quiet or dark as it agitates my anxiety. I took these pictures and am completely amazed at the beauty! It's a beautiful morning and I'm grateful to experience it. The warmth on my skin. The brightness of the sun. It's not too cold and not too hot. My anxiety is melting away. My skin has stopped itching. I'm not worried anymore. All this within a couple of minutes after prayer to my Father, and using the coping skills He's given me. I remained calm, kind, and mild-tempered. I remembered my blessings, kept positive, and trusted in Jehovah. And I'm so glad I did! IT WORKED! I just need consistency now. I mean to me that would be the easiest part now that I have experienced how well this worked for me. Why wouldn't I keep doing it? LOL! I feel like Jehovah made this day especially for MEEEEEE! And I am so happy and I thank Him for it! It's a beautiful morning!...... Awwwwww...... There will be times when a husband desires to be respected in the family, yet he may lack in showing love and attention to his wife. Sadly, it is common to hear wives say they do not feel loved by their husband, and that they only care about their own pleasure and needs. It is also common to hear a wife complaining that their husbands are aggressive and cold. This may be because their wife may try to be pushy and abuse her authority. Or, the husband may have come from a household where husbands are egotistical. Whatever the case, abusing someone never gains respect from anyone. In some cases, the husband abuses his headship and neglects responsibilities. They would rather their wife make all the decisions for the family. Or, sometimes a husband may tell his wife to stop rushing them, yet their procrastination hurts the family and their marriage. They may physically work, yet never activate their mental efforts to care for their spouse and family. The result of this is likened to the scripture at Proverbs 24:33, 34: “A little sleep, a little slumbering, A little folding of the hands to rest, And your poverty will come like a bandit, And your want like an armed man." 🎯 "clothe yourselves with the tender affections of compassion, kindness, humility, mildness, and patience."
